My daughter came home today livid with her Art teacher. She is not perfect but let me say that we are so blessed with such a good kid. She gets great grades, no trouble at ALL! So I was shocked that her teacher ripped her apart calling her lazy and went way beyond constructive criticism. My daughter asks me "can she do that". I honestly don't know what they can get away with but to me it was rude and unwarranted. She won't let me get involved "Mama bear is pouting" so my advice was to go be straight up with her. I said I would walk right up to her and nicely ask if I had done something to upset her or cause her to treat me that way. Ugh I hate having to let her grow up and fight her own battles but it is the right thing to do. It is so hard to sit back and let someone else upset your kiddo, but I know that she is growing up and will have to deal with things like this all of her adult life.
